Microsoft Access Database Version History

Microsoft Access Database VersionsThe rule of thumb: Never allow an application to become more than three versions (and preferably only two versions) in arrears.

A conversion from an Access 95 database to Access 2013 will cause many difficulties, due to the scarcity of documentation. It may be necessary to rewrite the application.

So much easier to upgrade every few years!

Microsoft Office Software Licences

There are two different types of Microsoft Office software licences on offer – OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or FPP (Full Package Product).

The OEM license comes with a new computer and is cheaper than the FPP licence. The OEM version is licensed for only one copy and it is not transferable to another computer.

The FPP licence allows two copies – a desktop computer and a portable computer. It is transferable to another computer for use by the same person.
